Q: When should I book my newborn session? A: As early as you know you’d like to work with me! Most people book between 12-20 weeks. We’ll choose a tentative date based on your due date to hold a place in my schedule, and adjust once baby arrives. Just let me know within 48 hours of delivery so your spot is secure. Newborn sessions are best scheduled 5–15 days after arrival, but can be later if you're not quite feeling up to it yet.
Q: How long will it take to receive my photos? A: Galleries are delivered within 2–4 weeks. Timing depends on your collection size and the season. Busy months (September–December) may take a little longer. If you have a deadline, just let me know and I’ll try my best to accommodate!
Q: What’s the difference between Collection 2 and a Newborn Session? A: Newborn Sessions allow for extra time and flexibility to feed, soothe, change, and gently pose your baby without feeling rushed. Collection 2 is shorter and doesn’t provide enough time for the wrapped, cozy newborn images you'll see in my work.
Q: What if I need to reschedule? A: No problem! Please give as much notice as possible, but if it’s due to illness or injury just let me know. We’ll move your session or carry your deposit forward for a future session.
Q: Do you have a client closet? A: Yes! I offer a selection of pieces in varying sizes for moms, babies, kids, and even dads. Check out the 'Client Closet Catalog' under the Resources tab to see what's available.
Q: Do you deliver RAW files? A: I don’t deliver RAW files. Your gallery is delivered fully edited and ready to download. Editing your photos is a big part of my job, and I'm happy to do it!
Q: How far in advance are you booking? A: Weekday sessions typically book 2–3 weeks out. Evenings and weekends are sparse and fill several months in advance. Minis (especially fall + Christmas) sell out quickly! Reaching out early is the best way to secure your ideal date.
Q: What’s the best time of day for outdoor sessions? A: Around sunrise or sunset. This lighting is soft, warm, and flattering, avoiding harsh shadows, squinting, and bright midday sun. It ensures the best possible image quality for your gallery.
